    James,

Treat it just like every other club in your bag. Put in the range time to get a constant yardage for the club. Also to instill the confidence factor. I played a 58 degree wedge myself. I use to lack confidence always worried about skulling it now though practice I can hit every shot required

To piggyback onto Austin's comments - my 58 lob wedge became my friend when I stopped trying to help it by injecting a wrist flip. Full swings could go anywhere, any direction and this is when I would skull chips onto the next tee box.
