For the last year or so I made the biggest mistake ever playing with another brand of golf clubs. I jumped on the "FORGIVENESS" bandwagon like some other golfers and my game suffered for it. Prior to the change I was playing to a 6 hcp and with the other brand my game was so inconsistant with the distances etc. Thank goodness I kept my faithful Titleist clubs. Finally done with being frustrated, I went out today and played like with my Titleist clubs and shot a 75. Needless to say the other brand clubs will be stored in the garage. There are no other clubs out there that compare to Titleist! Please learn from my mistakes TT family.

This is a great story.  My first clubs ever were Titleist and then I switched to a blade made by another manufacturer.  Not that those clubs were bad (in fact I loved them) but nothing beats the love you get when you join the Titleist family.  There is no other company that makes you feel like you are truly part of the R&D like Titleist does.

I had one brand for the longest time (about 10 years) and thought it was time to upgrade.  Looked at the AP1 712 and another brand a few years ago and made the mistake of going to the other brand.  My HCP went through the roof and knew i made a bad choice.  So bought a 710 used set for about 200 bucks and wow what a difference..   What was i thinking??? Later on bought the AP1 712s and my game turned around, actually having more fun on the course..

    Now i have the AP1s 714, 913D, 913F, & 913H, 52, 56, 60 Vokey and my personal favorite the Scotty.....

Not only are their clubs great, but their customer support and the way they treat amateur golfers is second to none...  IMO...

    Thanks for sharing Phillips!!!

Well said Phillip. There are no other clubs that compare to Titleist in my experience. I'm on my fourth set of clubs since 1969. The quality of the woods and irons, the bags, the Vokey wedges, the FootJoys, and my Scotty Cameron, is worth every dollar I've spent. Me too, Titleist for life.

Agreed. Best feeling clubs from top to bottom.I've tried others but always end up coming back to the best.

Agreed Phillip! I am still playing my 910 woods because I can't find anything that can beat them. I am looking to change irons after I took a demo set of AP2 714's out last week. I was amazed how great they felt and how forgiving they were.

I agree , I will never change from Titleist  EVER !!

Nothing comes close to the the feel and comfort I have with Titleist irons.

In terms of the Driver and 3 woods the distance I get and the ability to work the ball with the Titleist 910 and 913 is far superior with anything TM puts out.

    Titleist for Life - I agree 100%

I have had exactly the same experience.  I stopped playing Titleist equipment 3 years ago and went with a brand that is "known" for it's "forgiveness".  My handicap index jumped 9 points to 13.7. Then in early June of this summer, I ordered a complete set of Titleist equipment:  AP2 714 irons (4-W), 913D2 driver, 913F fairway woods, a 913H hybrid, Vokey sand wedge and Cameron putter.  I've always played Titleist balls and used FootJoy shoes and gloves.

My index is now 6.4 and trending lower.  I've learned my lesson.  I'll be staying with Titleist until I can no longer play this game.

Once it all clicks with the right equipment those handicaps stop dropping.  Played with teaching pro the other day and he gave me about three small things to work on.  Did not help my round on the front but on the back nine I made three birdies.  Those elements started clicking with the good equipment (Titleist) I play.  Hopefully I can remember those tips next time.  Have been seeing some improvement lately and hope to see more, mainly in the iron play.

I had 910 woods and gave them up for another brand. My HCP has gone up from a 9 to a 13. I am looking forward to the new 915 woods.

I think the title says it all... "Titleist for life for me"

When I saw the title I had to smile and wonder how many people in this forum feel the same way.  For one, I know I share the same sentiment.  If you can play with the best, why try anything else, right?

Along with many others here, once I found Titleist I never looked back.  I had known they made the best balls on the market for years but always thought the equipment was for the super low single digit handicappers or scratch golfers.  When they came out with the AP2's, I played them as a rental set while I was on vacation in Hawaii.  I liked the clubs so much I ordered a set as soon as I got home from vacation.  I was hooked and have purchased every set of AP2's that have been released over the years and love them.  Same deal with the metal woods in my bag... and who could pass up on a beautiful (and deadly accurate) Scotty Cameron putter...  oh yes, and the Vokey wedges, who can beat them??

Aside from providing what I believe to be the best equipment out on the marketplace, the people at Titleist are second to none.  Any time I have contacted Titleist about anything, I have been impressed with their responses and the way they interact wit their customers.  Regardless of the type of question... technical, fitting or just general knowledge, there is somebody on the Titleist staff that is willing to help.  On top of the first rate customer service, I really love the way Titleist engages us "regular" guys and gals through Team Titleist.  From having the opportunity to test balls coming out to market to meeting others through various Team Titleist events, the company really goes out of its way to engage its customers.  Mike, Bubba and all of the folks at Team Titleist really make it special.

At the end of the day, it is the people at Titleist, along with playing the best equipment on the market, that make me a Titleist customer for life.

couldn't agree more. I'm still playing with a set of 981s that are 13 years old and still going strong. I've been toying with replacing them with AP1, AP2 or a combo set. My handicap is 11.7 Oh, and I still love my Vokey's and most of all my Scotty Prototype!!!! Steve

hi phillip I use to play another brand (tm) and switched to titleist 712 ap2 and love them all my friends said I was nuts but after getting use to them I proved them wrong, one friend bought new irons and said we will see who made the right choice, need less to say as we would say he cant break an egg with them lol now he is thinking of switching to titleist, but he wants to wait until the new irons come out because our season is almost over,(living in the northeast) so all you titleist faithful out there with friends like mine show them these messages and then let them decide if they want to still buy forgiveness or quality.

I have a similar story! Of course, I'm very brand loyal to Titleist but being a crazy golfer, I admit I "try" the latest and greatest from other manufacturers. But I agree, you learn pretty quickly that no one makes equipment of the caliber of Titleist. I have had a lot of hand surgeries, so I'm always looking for the "softest" feeling equipment etc. that still performs. So I did hit a buddy's cally Apex irons. They simply can't compare to the Titleist AP line on any level. I'm a low handicap player so I'm picky about feel, being able to work the ball, distance etc., but I have never seen a manufacturer design and build clubs the quality of Titleist. So I have decided to stop looking and stop going into golf stores except to buy balls and anytime Titleist has a new offering coming out! Great job Titleist. Really looking forward to the 915's.
