I have an extra Diamana Whiteboard driver shaft that I want to cut down to be able to use in my 3-Wood.  Would there be any difference between a cut-down driver shaft and a 3-wood shaft?

Hi David,  They can use the same shaft, but the fairway would not only be shorter in length, but it is tipped 1" vs the driver, which we would tip 1/2".

Thanks Cathi, what would be the difference in the shaft behavior if I used a shaft that was tipped at 1/2" on a fairway wood?

Since the shaft adaptor is different for a 3 wood vs the driver, they would have to take the adaptor off anyway, so tipping an additional 1/2" should not be a problem.  If you left it untipped, it would just play slightly softer.  If the driver shaft has a 910 or 913 adaptor that was installed and built by us, we offer a retipping service and can put the fairway tip on it.  The price for cutting the shaft, tipping for a fairway, install a stock grip and a new adaptor is $62.00 MSRP.
