  1. Hi!! I am writing here as here in Spain in quite difficult to get fitted when you have quite high swing speed (+90mph) most of the fitter do not have x-flex shafts!

I have a set of AP2 714 with a Px 6.0, but after considering it I do not like the feeling of the club, head is to heavy and the shaft after years playing it I do not like the feeling and the way I swing this combination. Lighter head is really helping me to have a better impact and consistency

My ss is with a trackman around 92-97mph with the 6i but I often get to too much spin in my ball (c.7000rpm with the 6i)

I have been trying recently the 714 CBs and MBs and I really like the MBs with a KBS Tour Stiff shaft. The problem is that the fitter told me that Stiff is not enough for me. I really like the feeling of the KBS Tour S and with the MB it is amazing how repetitive I can become hitting the ball but I am looking for an option that really fits my swing so I have the S+ and the X but I like the S combination and maybe the 125-130gr of these shafts might destroy the feeling

    I have to questions:

    1. Which shaft should I used considering I can try more shafts? What about hardstepping? Will the 125 s+ will be ok for my ss? Will they help me to reduce my spin?

    2. A combo is a good option? Only for the 4-5 irons. 6-pw is MB. Or better to stay in the MB? Are the CB worth messing with them? I was even considering 5-p MB and 4i 712U

Thank you for your help and time!

i actually just got fitted for the 714 MBs and my swing speed with a 6i is around 105-107. they had me hit the project x 7.0 and they are amazing. like you, i also have crazy high spin with my 6 iron. the c-taper shafts were extremely light for my liking but they did have a great trajectory and brought my spin down around the 5200 range if im not mistaken. i got the 5-pw MB and getting a hybrid 3 to bridge the gap between my irons and 5 wood.

  3. these are great questions that you have...unfortunately I am in the same situation, each time I go to fitters or even the Titleist Rep in my area X shafts are sometimes not available.  Who can blame them though with so many options of shafts they cannot carry them all!  I have been told that some Titleist fitters in my region can have specific shafts brought in via Titleist if I request them in advance assuming they are available which is a great service that Titleist offers at seemingly no extra cost!  Another option with that being said, I am taking the route of visiting one of the two national fitting facilities at Oceanside CA as a result.  The other facility is Manchester Lane in MASS.

I am headed back to Oceanside since they have just about every option one would ever want and a few more!

I would recommend you make a trip to the states and check one of these facilities out if you have the chance.  JAT

If you like the feel of the KBS you may want to consider the KBS Tour V shaft, they make it in a 120g X-flex. It has lighter weight & lower spin than the KBS Tour. PM plays this shaft, I heard he went to KBS and requested this design. I personally just ordered a set of 714cb with the Project X Pxi shaft.
