I just saw where cally has come out with another full line of golf clubs. If I used their products I would be so upset they just put up a new set of hybrid irons! Wow so glad titleist has two yr model changes between cally and TM they are making themselves look so bad and needy!ithank you titleist for common sense in all you do

That is one of the reasons I switched from Cally to Titleist. Titleist has been around a long time and has a good reputation. I thank them for staying true to their mission of making quality products and taking care of their customers.

One of the reasons I switched to all Titleist.

Used to play TM, and 90 days later my set was "old" and out of date.  You could never keep up with the releases.  To me they are releasing something with lower tech than that in which they are working on for the 3 month later release. All about the dollar. Oh and the 2+ clubs longer.....  HA Pretty soon they are going to need a second gap wedge!

i have been a full bag Titleist player since my college days and i am now 59..do the math. Like you Harry, i enjoy the fact that Titleist doesn't rush to market a club every six months like some OEM's.

Giving a sermon to the choir, but eventually the arrow can only do so much. The archer isn't going to necessarily get better with full sets on the floor for quick turnaround that are only optimal for 10% of all golfers. Taking the time and effort to find a fitter you can trust, why not get fit for clubs designed for serious golfer with a significant array of shafts and custom built for your length, lie, and optimal loft? Being LH and approaching retirement, I don't need exotic equipment, but I am so far from finding a rack sets that optimizes me. Works much better than taking a chance on this month's designs thrown onto the market like mud on the wall to see what sticks.

Couldn't agree more...   I really admire how Titleist handles their products..  You can tell they take great pride in getting it done right the first time...  If it takes 2 years, so be it..  It gives me time to enjoy what I have now...

IMO, Titleist is the Apple of golf...

Correction, Apple is the Tirleist of Computers.

    Seriously I love your quote.

Titleist is the best for many reasons. There's always a little moment when you pass someone else with a Titleist hat. It's just a little nod that says "We get it".

[/quote] You know you are right about the hats. They may not even be playing the equipment, but everyone one wants to wear that logo, the sign of the best. I wear the hats and visors because of my equipment, ball and they match all my FJ apparel. Total brand commitment.

I have been a full Titleist/FJ guy for years now, I have had other reps try to get me to try other brands but nothing truly compares. Titleist is built for players, no gimmicks like some of the others, and I respect that.

Right on Josh, Jared, and Cole. The "we get it" thing is real. Its a mutual respect for people who care more about results than the latest gimmick. Every smart golfer approaches it the same way, we play the club that gives us the best results, the best numbers/confidence/look/feel combination. That's why "we get it".

I also like the way Titleist releases their woods and irons in different years allowing you to buy your woods one year and your irons the next. Doesnt hurt the wallet all at once!!!!

I agree.  I play Taylor Made woods and irons and I'm tired of the constant barrage of new products.  My equipment is only 4 years old, but they've come out with countless new products since then.  My next set will probably be Titleist just for that reason.  They seem more concerned with perfecting their product than they are with how many products they can introduce.

If things work, why change them? If I was playing golf for a living I could see changing clubs often.  I broke 80 last year and generally score 85. I play pretty close to par on exec courses.  Not unhappy with my golf game. I carry 11 clubs in a lightweight stand bag (13* driver, 7W, 11W, 27H, 34H, 9-PW, 54-58-64 and putter).  The gap between clubs from the 27H to 64* wedge is 6*.  4* between clubs for the 7W-27H.

I think TM's best woods came out in 2007. That is what I have been using for the driver and 7W for 4 years now.

The 11 wood is a SH III 25* and have yet to find a hybrid that hits as well as it does.  It gets the ball off the deck on some of the worst muni fairways in SD county (one of the exec courses has a 505 yard par 5) and is great for the 170-180 yard par 3s.

I have a Sumo2 SQ 7-34 that I have been playing for over 2 years (had one before and gave it up for an AP1 7 iron but went back).  It is my birdie machine.  I can work it between 130-150.

I have a 910H 27*, AP1 irons and SM4 54-11 (2* strong), 58-06 and 64-07. They WORK. I have been using the irons and wedges almost 3 years now.  I had a 910H in 2012-2013 but went back to it last year.  Nothing works better. I carried a 60-10 for 2 years and went to the 58-06 last year after the rains made the bunkers like concrete.

Have had the same putter for 4 years.  $69 used $20 for fitting and about $8.00 for a new grip.

Some people change clubs every time a new model comes out JUST BECAUSE.  To really get the nuances down on clubs takes about a year.

There's no need to buy new fooferah just because it's new. If you're hitting the clubs you have to your own satisfaction, you have no need to replace them. If you don't hit the new gear better (as determined by you) than your old gear then you simply don't need to buy the new stuff.

You are so right plus you buy a TM club or Cally club and they are old models worth nothing in 6 months

I have to chime in...I used to play all titleist clubs, and I still LOVE the brand. But I was pulled away from the irons by the cally Apex irons. For me, they were the greatest set of irons ever made for the mid-handicapper that plays a lot and fancy's himself a player. They are forged, forgiving, long, and they have a satin finish that they use on the AP2s....for me, they were longer than AP1, more forgiving, and they are drop dead gorgeous. It does not matter if cally comes out with something else, these are my sticks for a long time, and I might buy a backup set, I like them that much.

Titleist is the absolute premier brand in the world, I just LOVE their gear, but my game changed and my current setup is just better for me.

My BIGGEST wish from Titleist, would be for them to have two styles of fairway woods...I've always hit the D2 driver series well, but never hit the fairway woods well...I wish they had F2 and F3 fairway woods to match the driver...

    IMHO...

  22. Team Titleist Staff

    Hi Mark,

Thank you for the post and your feedback! We have already answered your biggest wish in that we do have two models of fairways. We offer the 915F and the 915Fd. The 915F is going to be a full pear profile that is easier to launch and have slightly more spin. The 915Fd model is a traditional pear shape that provides a more boring trajectory with slightly less spin. You can learn more about the 915 fairways on our website..http://www.titleist.com/golf-clubs/fairways/915F.aspx

I have played Titleist golf balls for years.  What led me to this site was after my iron purchase, from another company, a new model was released what seemed like days later.

I am building my titleist bag now - I have replaced my wedges with vokey wedges and my woods will be next.  Titleist does it right and I will never spend money with other golf product companies that churn out products while running over their customers.
