I went through a fitting for a 915 driver, and had a hard time getting good launch and spin numbers. I am a 5 handicap, but a low launch player. Has anyone tried the D2 in a 12%, and how did you benefit? Thanks.

Haven't hit the 12 but if the launch is good with spin < 3000 rpm I'd say go with it!

I purchased the 915D2 set at 10.25* and my spin was at 2000-2500....which my fitter was very pleased with.....club head speed 93mph....ball speed 133....9 handicapper.....68 years old....we spent about an hour on the driver until we got the right numbers with the right heads and shafts.......settled for the Aldila Black Rogue 70 Stiff with Golfpride Midsize Multicompound Grip.....

    Rich,

I play the 913 D2 in 12 degrees.  I am an 11 hdcp and also flight the ball low.  I was not fitted so I don't know what any of the official numbers are, but I found that as long as I pay attention to the ball position (I tend to have it too far back) and to my head staying behind the ball, I can get some good launch height (at least for me).  I also had the Bassara high launch shaft put on it, but since I wasn't fitted I'm not sure how much of my launch is from the shaft or from the 12 degrees.  Either way, the 12 degrees has helped me get the ball up in the air. I wouldn't trade it.  Fairways and greens.
