As I am sitting in my office watching it drizzle and a few flurries, I am curious what grips you like on your Titleist clubs. I currently have Lamkin UTX on my woods and wedges and crosslines on my 714 AP2s. I was thinking of switching the crosslines to the UTX or maybe even the multi compound Golf pride. Then there is always the tour velvets! Look forward to hearing what you like! Stay warm Team Titleist!

Winn DriTac Midsize are my grip of choice.  I prefer them for how easy they are on the hands and for me, they promote a lighter touch.  I always felt like I had to put a death grip on the tour velvets.

Feel the same and have the same ones.

I am a huge fan of the GP Multicompounds, great in all weather, and give good feel.

Have always used Golf Pride grips on my clubs and now am using the Multicompound Midsize Red/Black. As for my putter grips am a fan of Winn midsize. Since changing to Scotty putters I use the Scotty midsize putter grips which are made by Winn for Scotty and love the new Matador midsize. So I have been rather loyal to two brands. They have never let me down.

I use the same grips on my clubs! I love the feedback I get from the GP MC's. I also love the look and feel of the Winn grip on the Scotty. No better looking club in golf than a Scotty putter with a bright red grip!

Chuck, I've always used Winn Grips due to the tacky feel. Can you explain why and what you get from the GP grips. I'm going to regrip all my clubs in the next couple of weeks and have been thinking about the multi compound GP grips. Thanks The Hook

Ron: I feel that the GP grips last a little longer if you keep them clean. I just like the feel of the GPs and they also make tacky grips as well. I love the Winn grips when it comes to putter grips, their putter grips are second to none. When I select grips for my other clubs, I want something that holds up a little longer and I do love the feel of the Multicompound grip. Great in all weather conditions. Highly recommend them. Can be a little on the expensive at $10.99 each, but well worth it, in my opinion. I use the midsize, have big hands and at 68 need any help I can get. Handicap 9. Only put the best on the best clubs and I only have Titleist in my bag. Chuck

I have been using GP Tour Velvets for years and I will not change. I have tried others but I always seem to come back to the GP Tour Velvets.

From listening to the responses, it appears that GolfPride seems to be the favorite. If you check to bags of the tour players, you will find it true there as well. They make great grips that hold up. Just like Titleist products.

I had always used golf pride in the past.  I have the Lamkin crossline ace now and I might be a convert. they are comfortable and tacky enough to hold the club lightly and seem to be wearing quite well considering how many ball I tend to hit.

I use GP New Decade multi compound black on my woods, irons & wedges and I use the WINN Pro 1.18 on my putters.

  20. Guys and Gals, Lamkin has there Crossline Standard in the cursive writing for the logo for around 2.30 per grip. 13 grips for 29.99 shipped. They are not making them anymore with that type of writing. I think now they are larger print block letters. Great deal and there going very fast. I have 60 or so coming. I love those grips by the way. If you are in the east central Illinois area and want clubs regripped or shafted let me know.

Thanks for the heads up. Just saw the other day they are advertising UTX at buy one get one free! Not bad.

A lot of people seam to like the GP Multicompounds. I was noticing today how many pro's (Titleist guys mainly) like the tried and true Golf Pride Tour Velvet. I have tempted to go back to those. Thanks for all the feedback!

  23. the original grips on the AP2s are money. The multicompounds are nice but the feel lacks

I have always used the GP multicompound grips this year I switched to the GP Z Cord. I think these will be my grips going forward.

I always think about switching up grips, but every year I stick with the classic Golf Pride Tour Velvet.  There's something comfortable about this basic grip to me.  The price is right, and I always re-grip in the beginning and middle of each season.

Suggestion Brian R! My fitter/club repairer takes a regular GPMC and puts 4-5 wraps under it and whamo, you have a midsize grip, if price is a concern. A good fitter can make it work for you. With the midsize colors being limited a lot of guys do this. Me I buy the Midsize and add two wraps. I like the red/black because it matches my Titleist bags and head covers.
  29. Just re-gripped my AP2's with Golf Prides new New Decade Multicompound MCCPlus4 grips (blue/black ) - like the feel !

I had my AP-2's re-gripped with the new GP CP2 wraps.  I always liked the Tour Wraps and these have more texture but still a soft feel.  Winn Dri-Tac mid-size on the driver promoted a lighter grip this past year and a nice improvement in driving.  Super Stroke mid slim on my SC fastback.

    • Putter - GP Tour Classic
    • Irons & wedges - GP Tour Velvet mid's
    • Hybrid $ FW - Boccieri Secret Grips
    • Driver - GP Tour Velvet mid
Everything is counter-balanced.  The putter has approx. 70g's tungsten powder/lead tape under the grip.  Irons and wedges all have 30g lead plugs.  The inner diameter of the fairway and hybrid shafts won't accomodate the lead plugs I had, thus the Secret Grips.  Driver shaft has some built in counter-balance, so just the Tour Velvet.
    I know, TMI....

I just ordered my new Titleists with Tour Velvet Cord grips with ribs. I've previously played Golf Pride Multi-Compound with ribs. In that way I guess I'm a bit old-fashioned. Most of my friends don't even know what ribbed grips are let alone play them. J.A.C.

I can't say enough good things about Winn Grips. I like the Winn Dri Tac Wrap Lites. Was just custom fitted for a new set of Titleist AP1's 714. Ordered the the clubs with the Dri tac wrap lites. All my clubs will now have those grips. Love the feel of these and never wear a glove. Can't wait for these clubs to come in.

DriTac wore more than any I've used although very comfortable.  Started with tour velvet and am now using golf pride red.  Am very interest in the new golf pride compound grips.

Golf Pride Tour Wraps for me.  I use the Jumbo's which helps me have fewer club heads turning at impact.

I always have loved Golf Pride. I use the multicompounds on all my 714 irons so when i moved to 915 woods, it was no question to get them. I think they are the best as far as feel and grip and in my opinion, are some of the best looking grips.

I'm going to my first Advanced Fitting next Saturday and will be looking at many grips. Unfortunately they don't carry the new UTx grips which I was looking forward to trying out. I have the GP Multi-Compound on right now and they are a really solid grip.
