I recently purchased a set of AP1 irons and want to purchase an additional gap wedge. My dealer asked for the serial number so the new wedge will match the set. However, i cannot locate a serial number on any of the irons. Is this typical?

  2. Hi Brad,

The serial number is located on the hosel of your 6 iron.

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for the response but that is why i posted the thread, theres nothing on the 6 iron nor any of the others. Is there any case where the serial number would not be stamped?

Hello Brad; If there isn't a serial # on the hosel of your 6 iron, I would be concerned about that, and you should do some investigating. All authentic Titleist iron sets will have the serial # on the 6 iron. Did you buy your irons from a Titleist dealer?

I too have 714 AP1's and it looks like it's laser etched on the hosel of the 6 iron. I bought mine used from an authorized Titleist dealer that I checked on the Titleist website. Did you get this resolved ? Did you have a little hologram decal just above the ferrule ?

What would be the reason for engraving my 5-pw with one serial number and then my 48W (which I had bent up 1 degree and also made 1 degree stronger to 47) with a different serial number - all ordered at the same time?

Hi Brad, Out of curiosity, where did you buy your clubs? Are they an approved Titleist retailer?

If they do not have a serial number, they possibly could be knock offs.  Let us hope that is not the situation.  Did you purchase these on line or from an individual other than an approved Titleist dealer? To my knowledge, all approved Titleist equipment has a serial number.  Good luck.....

Only way that they would not have a serial number is if they were built off of a tour van. Hope you didn't scammed by not purchasing them from an authorized seller.
