  1. UPS lost my golf clubs recently and I found myself needing new clubs.  Instead of buying some brand new clubs I went to Ebay.  I bought a set of Titleist Ap2 714 Irons ... how do I know if they are not knock offs?  I'm a little skeptical because the set I have has red numbers and doesn't the Titleist Ap2 714 Irons come with black numbers?

    did I make a mistake?

    Keith,

Sorry to hear about your clubs. Did you have shipping insurance or any insurance on the clubs themselves?

I believe you can check the serial number on the 6 iron to verify the authenticity of the set. I will say that counterfeiting is a real problem. I have purchased clubs on ebay but have always made sure they are coming from a licensed seller. Other sellers will also provide pictures of the serial number to help verify (though you're still taking their word for it essentially).

Keith as stated above the six iron should have a serial number  on it, you can call customer service I think they can look it up for you. As far as the red numbers some one could have just done a new pint fill in a different color, hopefully that is all it is. Hope it works out.
