Is a "Titleist" branded Diamana shaft (OEM) cheaper in cost, than buying an all out Diamana shaft? Thank you in advance.

I am of the opinion that, a Diamana aftermarket shaft will cost double the same shaft that is branded with the Titleist name. I would prefer the cheaper shaft of the two.

Hello,  All the stock Diamana/Aldila shafts offered for the 915's are "aftermarket" shafts other than the Bassara W.

I purchased 11 clubs over a two month period this past January and February of this year; 1 driver, 5 fairway woods and 5 hybrids. All of them new and I love having all the lofts together as a collection. All from the 913 line. I bought them all on eBay, and because selection is a little more limited when a club line discontinues, I bought these clubs with different shafts in them. Some are stiff, some are regular and some are 'ladies' flex.

What I would like to do now, is re-shaft these clubs with a 'Titleist' branded shaft. I can only assume a Titleist shaft would be more economical. If the only shaft that is available to me is the 'Bassara W', then I will look into this, if it's available to me. Thank you Cathi.

Hi,  All the stock shafts - (Rogues, Diamana, Tour Green, RIP), including the Bassara W are the same price so there is no discount for the Bassara.

You can check with local shops about purchasing new shafts, but that may eat up your savings on buying off the net. If you know what shaft will work for you, it may be cheaper to buy used FW/H (913 or 915 for these) clubs, swap the shafts and resell the used clubs. Titleist has been moving from proprietary shafts to retail units. Only an estimate, but new shafts through Titleist will be well in excess of $100 each.

I think any 'Regular Flex' shaft will work for me just fine. I have been told during my investigation of shaft possibilities, that Grafalloy are one of the more 'consistent' makes of golf shafts. I don't know how true that is myself. Thank you Dan O for your comment.

Since when did Titleist start selling shaft direct?
