I just unboxed my new AP2s!!  Was fit for them (and had an awesome time and hitting day).  I've found that when I'm at the range now, my numbers are a bit shorter than during the fitting and some of my gapping isnt quite right at the low end of my bag.

I replaced my 3 and 4 iron with 915 hybrids for better consistency, so now have a 3 (18.75 degree) and 4 (21.75) hybrid, but lofted up per the suggestion of my fitter.  My 5 iron flies around 175, but the 4 hybrid goes around 195/200.  Any thoughts on what to do?

Hi Justin,  Yes, go talk to your fitter and tell him exactly what you have told us here.  He/she should be able to help with any gapping and distance issues.

    Justin,

You don't mention what kind of fitting you had ( in a booth w/ a monitor, or on the grass).  I know that the range that I practice at uses one piece balls that fly shorter so that they don't fly out of the end of the range.  So, if you were fit at a different place than your range, you might want to ask what kind of balls they use.  It might be just that simple.  Congrats on the new sticks.  Fairways and greens!

Great point Mark! I was fit at the Manchester Lane facility (Amazing!!) using ProV1s.  Can definitely see why the range by my house is giving me less distance with the rocks they call golf balls.  I was on a Trackman and hitting of of grass.  I'm less concerned about the distance, but more concerned about the ~ 20 yard gap between my now 4H and 5i.  180-190 is a distance that comes up quite frequently in play, so Im thinking I can fine tune the adjustments of the hybrid to get it right...

I would attribute it to the powerful 915s. They fly 10+ yards on average farther then 913s. That is why i am going to upgrade to 915s. But i would just hit a 3/4 3/4 hybrid for and fill the gap. Easiest thing to do imo

    Justin,

Adjusting the loft is one way to fine tune things.  I use 3 913H (21,24,27) and I have tinkered with the lofts etc..  One other thing you might try is to grip down on the 4H to take some of the distance off.  Again, it might just be that simple.  Good luck.
