  1. I'm looking to get the 915D2 driver in 10.5 loft. I've been fitted for stiff shafts. My swing speed is around 96-102. My handicap is 15. Here's my question: which shafts should I be looking at? I hit the Aldila Rogue Black on the range. It felt great. But should someone at my level be using the heaviest shaft in the lineup? Is the Rogue Silver more appropriate? I haven't seen the silver at any of the stores...so haven't been able to demo it yet.

Which rogue black? because the black and the silver are mostly the same weights. Silver weight range is 66-78 and Black is 66-86. So it depends on which model of shaft you were hitting. Also do you launch the ball high? Like to hit a driver high? Rather have a boring trajectory? So many things go into a shaft

I am confused.  I am looking at the 915 Titleist Model and shaft specifications.

The Aldila Rogue Black 70 shaft for the 915D2/915D3 in a stiff and the weight is 74.5 g and the Aldila Rogue Silver 60 for the same heads run 69 g for the stiff and 72 g for the extra stiff.

The Aldila Rogue Black 80 which is a stock fairway shaft comes in at 85.5 g with a stiff shaft.

The Aldila Rogue Black 85H, which is a stock hybrid shaft comes in a stiff and weighs 88 g.

I hope that my book is not out of date.

Hi Chuck,  You are right, it can be confusing.  Shaft manufacturers usually use a model number based loosely on the weight, but as you can see, it is in that weight range.  IE - the Rogue Silver 60 S weighs almost 70 grams, but is still in the 60's at 69 grams and the Rogue Black 70 R weighs 71 grams, but is in the 70's.  Here is the link for the latest shaft book:  http://media.titleist.com/images/titleist/files/US/Titleist-Custom-Club-Options

Thanks, Cathi.  I was just looking at the numbers that were listed in the booklet and online as an absolute weight, I guess.  The numbers are the same.  I pick up the latest at David Ayres shop in Mt Pleasant or get them from Bobby, when I see him.  Hope all is well in sunny CA.  Team Titleist is always very helpful, I for one appreciate it.   Cheers, Chuck.
