Someone please help! Got my new 915 D4 last week and during my round today noticed a sizable paint chip in the crown. I have no idea how it got there. I always replace my headcover. I've used a refinishing company recommended on this stream before only to have it take a long time and not look anything like the factory finish. I really don't want to buy a new driver.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

it wasnt there when you bought it? I bought my 913 d2 from titleist last year and had chip right on top of head and i didnt notice until i went to range. i called titleist and they said it could be factory defect so i sent it back and they sent me new one! call titleist and see if you can send it back for inspection

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately it wasn't there when I bought it. Still waiting for a return email from Titleist. Hoping for some encouraging news.

Paint/body shops and others can do amazing chip repairs quickly or at least recommend someone or a good at home product. I've used Rustoleum scratch & chip repair in Universal Metallic Black for a number of trade-ins with great results. As a be on the lookout for subject to other Team Titleist readers, we in the business have been seeing more chips and scratches where the owners honestly did not know what caused them. After investigating, we found many players carry alignment sticks all the time. You put your covered driver into the bag but don't notice the long stick sneaks into the headcover sock and without the safety cap, it has an edge. Plus it has leverage from the base of the bag. A little bouncing around scratches and a bigger impact can cause a bad chip. Best of luck.

No alignment sticks but I was trying out two different shaft. Certainly hope I didn't cause this. Thanks for your reply
