1.25" long AP2 irons

    If one orders a set of AP2 irons 1.25" over length, how is that extra length provided?...are they plugged at the grip or are the shafts left longer?.  Then, if one wishes to return them to standard length, can it be done, and how?  Thanks in advance for your reply.

    Thomas, I am 6'-6" and play .50" over standard length irons by Titleist.  They just leave the extra length of the club and not add extenders.....I would think 1.25" over standard would be the same. IMHO

    Factory custom sets will be 'left longer', yes, not 'plugged'.  If you decided you didn't like them at that length, then you could have them cut back down and regripped.

    If you originally order the set at 1.25" long, and assuming standard grip at standard size, they will use lighter weight heads to help control the swingweight.  If you cut them down to standard length, they will be lighter than a standard build by about two swingweights.
