Current irons are miz MP-62's with retro fitted KBS C-Taper X shafts per fitters recommendation 3 year ago. Love the feel and feedback, but would like to update with new 716's. I'm open to AP2's or CB's, but with limited fitters in my area, I'm looking for recommendation of shafts to insert in the AP2 or CB irons that will have similar playing characteristics to existing club config. Thanks for your assistance. Kevin

If im not wrong i believe the KBS shafts will fit into either the AP2's or CB's.  If you where fitted for the c-taper shaft i would stay with it, i don't think that the different  club head would make that much of a difference. The shots my feel different but they should play similar throughout the bag.

  3. I use Project X 6.0 shafts and I love them. If you use an X flex, the 7.0 is the equivalent to that. If you don't like those other options would be getting another set of KBS or getting X100's

CB's are somewhat similar to the 62's you are using, so I see no reason why you should change your shafts as long as you keep your lofts and lies the same

Playing characteristics can really change between clubheads (even with the same shaft), so I'd recommend a fitting.

Find the best fitter in a four-hour radius and make it a day trip.  You'll be happy you did.
