My new irons (716 AP2 5-PW, Nippon NS 95 GH Stiff, 2 degrees upright, standard length, standard Titleist Tour Velvet grip) were at the club this morning when I arrived to play.  My playing companion asked me why I hadn't already put them in the bag, so I did.  After warming up just a bit, I proceeded to shoot 75.  Wonderful way to break in the new sticks.

What a great round to break the new irons in with Ted. Looks like you are in prime playing form for the Dallas Team Titleist event. I am sure your steady play will propel you to the top of the leader board.

New clubs always look so bright and shiny that you almost don't want to put them in play.  They are a nice looking set of irons Ted!

Excellent round with a new set of irons. Sounds like you had a solid fitting. The new AP2 716s look awesome. I have 714s and love them. Another excellent product from Titleist.

Looks beautiful! Why did you leave your W from the 714 set? If you don't mind me asking...

I decided to go with 3 Vokey wedges (50, 54, and 58) instead of the AP2 W and 2 Vokeys. I'm waiting for the SM6's to be available in Feb or so.

Ted - I too am anxiously awaiting the SM6 release to get some new wedges. I guess the only plus for me is the golf season is rapidly coming to a close here in Northern Wisconsin, so waiting until spring isn't too big of an issue for me.

Fantastic !!!   Ordered my new 716 AP 2's on Monday and they arrived on Wednesday.  5 - W, Kuro Kaga 85 grm Reg, with New Decade grips.  First time in the bag and the result was 13 GIR and a easy 73.  Love the clubs.  Traded in my 714 AP 1's - great decision.

Awesome results gentlemen - I just ordered my 716's AP2's with a KBS Tour shaft this past Monday, hopefully I will receive my clubs soon and will get similiar results.

I am a left hand golfer so most fitting carts do not have all the options to test, so I had to fit myself with a competitors club and used the miz shaft optimizer to find the right shaft.   I love the new look of the AP2 and have been a Titleist fan every since I first hit their clubs - there are NO clubs like Titleist clubs.  I cannot wait to recieve my new clubs.

Titleist - I only ask this of you, their are not many of us lefties out there but PLEASE make sure you supply your resellers with left handed club heads, we lefties like Titleist clubs too.

My new custom ordered set from Titleist came 2 weeks ago and luckily for me the midwest weather changed for the positive last week and I was able to play Monday thru Friday and really give my new AP1"s a test run. Results were great. Shot a couple of my best rounds for the year and can't wait for winter to get over. Thanks Titleist. These new 716's are tremendous.
