My first full set of irons were given to me by my boss(PGA Pro) at the CC I worked at as a teenager. They were a set of the original DCI irons and I would have to say I got them around 1990?. I played them up until 3 years ago with some years off in between when kids were being born. About 3 years ago I decided the only way I was going to get back into golf regularly was to buy a new set of clubs. Foolishly I bought a set of png g20's. Ok clubs but since the day they went in my bag I have been beating myself up for not spending the extra dough for Titlest.
Well, the new 716's just put me over the edge. Went into Golfsmith last week had a fitting done and ordered a set of 716 AP1's! I had purchased three Vokey wedges last summer so once the AP1's come in I will be back on Team Titlest! Couldn't be more excited!
On on top of that I will be playing the Ocean Course at Kiawah next week(1st time). Hoping to have new clubs before I head down. What a great place to break in the new irons!
