I just played my 72nd hole with my new 716's which replaced my 712 AP2's. The answer is yes, yes, and yes again. I am a 6 hdcp. The irons are more forgiving And seem to carry better than the 712. The finish is more appealing. You'll love them. I hope the paint full in the numbers is more resilient. Buy them you won't regret it. P.S. If you slip in AP1 for longer irons, you'll be even happier! 327 Acer

I agree with Ike 100%!!! I love my new 716 AP2. They have a handful of new technology improvements over the 712 serious. The increased tungsten also adds substantial forgiveness. And last but not least, tou can't beat the softer feel!

I'd say GO FOR IT! You won't be disappointed.

    Good luck!

i have the 714's. when i went to test the new 716's i noticed about 13 yards more distance with the same shaft but i could not get better feel then my 714's. i carry a +1.8 index. if you have not tried the 714's i would first and at least compare all the heads.

Very good point. Comparative shopping but yet keeping it in the Titleist family and maybe saving you a little cash. I play the 714 AP2s and love them. You want to make sure you are 100% sure.

I just received my 716's after using the 714's all season. Initially, what stood out about the 716's in my opinion was that they feel much softer, especially on off center hits. My typical mishit is near the toe, and with the 716's, I feel that I am getting a more solid feel on those hits, especially compared to the 714's. I haven't noticed an overwhelming increase in distance, but the increased feel has been monumental on my precision; I'm able to make more shots than I was before.

I know you mentioned that you are playing the 712's, and based on my limited use of the 716's, they were definitely an upgrade over the 714's. If you are looking to replace your 712's, I don't think there is a better iron on the market than the 716's.

Yes, there is a huge difference IMHO!  I have had 710, 712, 714 and now 716...each progression has been noticeable however this last upgrade has been the biggest...

    Do not hesitate to upgrade!

I absolutely love my 714's. Had the original set of AP2s and got the 710s when I wore them out. The 714s were my latest upgrade about a year ago, and they aren't leaving anytime soon. I have the project x 6.0s in them. I love the playability, I feel like there is nothing I cant do with them. Love to launch them high at tucked pins. Distance control and shot dispersion are unmatched.
