Test drove the new CB 716's and 816 hybrid at a demo day weeks before release date loved them so I pre-ordered hoping to get them around delivery date.  Well, the irons were two weeks delayed and delivered with wrong grips and the hybrid.......still has no delivery date due to back ordered heads.   What makes it more frustrating is that the hybrids are available in the local big box store but I can't seem to get even an idea of when mine will ship.  Silver lining is that I am getting the correct grips for the irons sent ASAP.  Anyone else having this huge delay?

Yeah. I pre-ordered a 816H1 w/ a Fujikura Motore Speeder HB 8.8 Tour Spec stiff shaft. It appears that Titleist has a shortage of these shafts and they are running behind at this time. My fitter contacted our local Titleist rep and that is our latest report. No use rushing something when there is an obvious problem. Me, I am setting back and waiting for the call from my good friend/fitter who is trying to run down that shaft for me. The old problem of supply/demand. I know it will be worth the wait, after seeing the results at demo day. Thanks, Billie, David, and Bobbie for all your efforts.
  3. It must be a shaft issue...I have ordered three different 816 H1 and H2 hybrids and received them all at this point.

    Good Luck

Good guess, Chris. I spoke with Cathi on the phone last Tuesday and they had just gotten the Fujikura Motore Speeder HB 8.8 Tour Spec shafts in. She said they had to be inspected before they could start assembling the clubs with that high demand shaft. It sure gives the 816H1 a little extra lift and POP, in my opinion. Well worth the wait. They are working as fast as they can.

I ordered  the ap1's with Project X PXI's and they shipped early, best irons ever!!!!  I ordered an H2 21 and it was delayed but is here now and I couldn't be happier with it, much more forgiving and tighter ball flight. Replaced my 712 AP1s and 913H.  My 913H 17 is still in the bag, the 816H1 or H2 cant seem to bump it out, dont know why because the 21 is so much better. Any thoughts?

Hi Michael,  We have been experiencing delays in some of the 816 hybrid heads due to overwhelming demand, but are catching up.  Can you contact us at:  888-TITLEIST?

Yes I can.  is there anyone in particular I should speak with?

    Chuck:

I couldn't agree more that the results I saw at the demo day will greatly outweigh the waiting time here. I'm just itching to put it in the bag.....

This being the first year Titleist has launched hybrids at the same time as the new iron lines, the demand (and associated delay) isn't a surprise.

I've been waiting on my  816H1 w/ a Fujikura Motore Speeder HB 8.8 Tour Spec stiff shaft in both 3H and 4H as well.  I ordered them the day they were available along with new 716 AP1's.  Not a big deal since I did get my new irons already.  Mine should be in this week.
