  1. Good afternoon all, I am about to re grip my clubs soon. I had Winn Dri Tac midsize on my last irons, and although I liked them, I don't think that they are very durable. I play at least twice a week. Any input to a very tacky, yet durable grip? Thank you all.

I too am about to regrip my clubs. I really like the golf pride tour wrap 2g. Some people don't like them because they can get slick with sweat but I find with a little wipe before swinging they are great!

I also like the winn Dri Tac midsize but like you found out they wear out way to soon so I went to golf pride mcc+4. I believe they are comparable to the winn midsize and will definitely last a lot longer. Please let me know if you find something else that works also.

I had the tour velvet on my AP1 714's and really didn't like them a lot, so I put the GP MCC+4 on them and love em! Great feel and as long as you care for them they really last a long time.
  5. Talked with a playing partner of mine. I think he has talked me into the Iomic... he plays 36 holes every weekend.. has had the same grips for two years.. and they are still tacky.. they are pricy though.

I recently switched to the Golf Pride MCC and love the look and feel of them. I recommend taking a look at them at your local pro shop.

I use the Golfpride Tour velvet 360 grip on all my clubs. Put 2 extra wraps of tape under the grips and you have a midsize grip. They work in all weather conditions. If its wet, just wipe them down before using, they're rubber so the water doesn't soak in. Easy to clean, easy on the hands, and cheap.
  8. I have had the golf pride multi-compound grips on my wedges and driver for about 7 months and I play 4-5 times a week and they have held up just fine. I would definitely recommend those grips.

I would suggest looking at the Golf Pride CP2 Wrap. I have them on two sets of irons as well as driver and play at least 2x per week. Very good feel and quite durable.

I had the MCC+4 on my last irons and liked them very much. They're essentially the same as the popular GP Multi-compound cord grip with less taper. I think they simulate about 4 wraps on the lower hand. They last well. I used the standard size and they were plenty big for me. If you use midsize, you may want to run a trial on a club or two - that will be a pretty meaty grip.
  11. Give the Lamkin Utx a try. They have great feel, they are tacky, and they perform extremely well in the elements! I have them on all of my clubs

Ditto with Gary D, but with 1 extra wrap of tape. With a slight toe hit they don't twist.
