suggest you meet up with a professional fitter, who can help you finding the right club head and shaft!

    Hey ZK,

Congratulations on having a handicap over 12 and being just 13 years old. You have many more years of good golf ahead. By playing in golf tournaments at 13 really shows that you take your game seriously and will pay off for you someday so keep working hard on your game. Both sets of clubs (AP1 and AP2) are both excellent choices for you. But I would recommend seeing a trained club fitter in your area so you are fitted with the proper shaft and correct shaft lengths for you swing and size. You will also have the chance to see how these clubs perform for you and you will know which set that works best for you. They are both excellent clubs. Also, you can rest assured that these clubs will last you more than 2 years. I have had sets of clubs that I have used for more than 15 years only to give them away to family and friends. The only way they will not last is if your Mom or Dad accidently runs over them with a truck. So good luck with your game and let us know what set of clubs you wind up choosng when you get them.

    Best Wishes,

    DV

Handicap has nothing to do with the type of clubs you play. There are a number of factors that determine what works for you and only a certified fitter can get it right. You may find out that neither of those clubs are what you need. A certified fitter will take the time to put the right club and shaft in your hands. I do it on every new club I purchase. The technology changes, I get older and so does my swing. Cheers, Chuck......

Great advise Chuck Z. 58 is not 28 or even 38 years old. Your game does go through changes as you get older. The fact that I'm a Titleist man does not.
    Play well,

There are pros on the euro tour that game the AP1 - it is what is best for you. It is not about your handicap.

I went through the same decision process. At the time, I struggled to break 95 and irons were a real sore spot. Distance was never a problem, but CONSISTENT distance was. I went with the ap2 which provided me the feedback and confidence I needed to dial in my iron game and now shoot in the low 80's. As everyone else already said, going to a fitter is absolutely the best way to go since the shaft is critical to how the head performs. Whichever choice you make, you can't go wrong with the ap line. Happy Golfing!

    Hey ZK,

Your original post indicated you were 13 years old. Why did you edit that out?
