Recently upgraded from 714 AP2 with KBS tour shafts to 716 AP2 with KBS C-taper Lite 110 shafts. They have felt strange from the start so had the swing weights checked and they come in at D0. Thought the standard was D2. Would the C-taper lite shafts make that much difference in the swing weight?

Hopefully you were fit for these???
New Irons and shafts are going to feel different no matter what.
Practice to build that confidence in your new set.

Thanks for your response. I was fit by the local Titleist Tech Rep. I had the MOI checked on my 5,6,7 irons and the 6 &7 came in at 3.29 while the 5 was 6.3. I didn't think the difference should be that great. I only have 5-PW and I didn't check the other irons yet. I did just have a hole in one recently with the 9 iron so I get the practice part of it. My index is 0.0 currently and have played Titleist clubs exclusively for several years so I have the unfortunate ability to feel subtle differences in the performance of my clubs

I agree, the fitting for me was key i just switched from 714 AP2's with dg s300 to 716's with AMT s300. They felt different at first but now i love them!! way to go titleist..
  5. I have seen where irons do not come from the factory at spec. If the swing weight is not what you expected, you should have the clubs checked and corrected.
