  1. I currently have a 714 ap2 9 iron then I go into my vokeys starting with a 46°. I hit my 9 iron about 140 yards and my 46° about 125 yards. Does the new SM6 46° with the and improved CG offer better distance , therefore giving me better gapping between my vokey pitching wedge and ap2 9 iron, anybody have this problem or notice a difference between the SM5 and SM6.

I haven't used the SM6 46, I stayed with the PW in my 716 AP2's, but the SM6 50 does have a great feel and good distance. Maybe have the SM6 46 bent to 44 or 45 degrees to minimize the gap?
  3. I hit my sm6 about the same as the ones before. Was hitting the center more but distance was similar

    I gained about 5 yard with a 52 degree SM6 over a 52 degree SM5. I had a 15 yard gap until then to my AP1 PW.

How far do you hit the AP2 PW? Maybe you'd fill the gap better with that instead of the Vokey and if so, that may make the gaps easier to fill.
  6. Most golfers see an additional 2-4 yards with their SM6 46° vs. SM5 46°. Our testing shows an average increase of 1.5mph ball speed. The added distance comes from the Progressive Center of Gravity (CG) design. The CG height of SM6 wedges was designed to align with a typical set of irons, like your AP2's, providing more consistent distance gapping. The 46°-52° wedges have a lower CG position than the higher lofted wedges, which is better aligned with your irons for consistent distance and trajectory control.
  7. I am wondering the same type of thing as I currently play 45-50-54-58 and feel that I need some more height on the 58 so maybe bending a 60 to a 59 or are the gaps that I have now sufficient?
