A similar story here Jim....Titleist drivers since 1995......Demo'd the 917d2 a few weeks back and fell in love with the feel compared to 913D2..... I placed an order 2 weeks ago , but as of yet no sign.. Hopefully soon.

That 15* fairway is one of the hottest I have ever hit. It is in my Titleist bag and I use it a lot instead of my driver. That thing is a monster.

Curious as to what shaft you ended up with? Did you get fit? How many shaft options were available for you to try? I'm going for a fitting next week to upgrade from a 915 to a 917. So many shaft options out there I'm trying to narrow down the field a bit. Thanks a lot!

Did you play the 915 prior? I love my 915, but am a sucker for new titleist gear. Wondering if you had review of both side by side.

Agreed! I was using the 913 D2 10.5 loft Reg Flex and thought I was hitting the ball pretty well until I went to a Demo Day. The Rep handed me the 917 D2 8.5 Loft Stiff Flex with the Draw weight installed and said "put your driver away!" Haven't touched it since. Much better ball flight now, more roll out, a few more yards, and much more fun to hit. So glad I switched from the swoosh!

I did the same. Very nice feeling clubs. You should check out the 816 hybrid. I have the H2 and it is amazing.

Just completed an awesome fitting at Pinehurst with Asst Pro Robert Hoadley! Tested the TM M2, GBB Epic, Cobra F7, and the 917 D2 at 12 degree loft with 12 gr neutral weight in the RED Diamana 52 gr shaft. Launch and spin numbers were by far the best with the 917 not to mention the dispersion was fantastic! Can't wait to put it in the bag!

Nice to hear. I too recently upgraded to the 917 D2. My club did not have the fairway heads when I tried the driver. So now that there is snow on the ground I will have to wait until spring to get on the flightscope with the fairway head to test it out.

I agree! The new 917 is the best feeling and most accurate driver I have ever hit. I got fit and custom ordered one immediately. I can't wait to show it off this season!

I'm saving my lawn mowing $$ to purchase a Titleist D3 model head only. I'm installing an AJ Tech Z42 Shaft. I've been using his shaft since they came out in 1991. Phenomenal feel, distance, & accuracy.
