They certainly help with gripping the club and I don't think they affect much else. You might try one, or two, club(s) first before going all in (1 mid size and 1 jumbo).

I prefer that bigger grips, but I do not have arthritis. Do a test at you club or local golf shop. Swing a few clubs with the skinny grips then try the larger ones.
  4. Hello Robert! Oversized grips could be very beneficial for your arthritic hands. The larger grip will be easier to grip by not requiring your hands to close as much or as tightly as a smaller grip. Some believe that a larger grip can make it more difficult to square the club face, but if you can keep a light grip pressure the club will release very easily. Good luck!
  5. To me there is only pro's to this. I did mid size grips for my dad who was having the same problem and he loves them. easier to grip no joint pain in the wrists. Just do one club and see if you like it at first.

Hi. I have relatively small hands and use mid size without a taper. Just find it more comfortable and can fully release through impact without turning it over. I don't have arthritis but I do find it easier to hold the club with a lighter grip hence more distance and better release.
