  1. Hi Guys,

I have just bought my first set of Titleist Clubs, The New 716 AP1's. I have always been a cally/TM man. Don't know why it took me so long to give Titleist a go. So very glad I did. Just a beautiful looking club and to my amazement just beautiful to hit.

Now looking at their Drivers and Fairway Woods and Hybrids.

Just a side note, when you measure the length of the 716 AP1's (or any other iron for that matter) how and where do you measure it from?

    Cheers

    Joe

Club length is measured using a specialized ruler with a "stop" at a specific angle (60 degrees). But you can get a simple and quick measurement by holding the club up on a floor at the normal playing position and by using a thin ruler (like a steel yardstick) along the shaft with the 0-end against the floor and then measuring to the top tip end .of the grip. For a simple check to see if you are doing it right, a Titleist standard 5 iron would be 38 inches. And congrats on your new irons!
  5. Hi John,

Thanks mate, I appreciate you explaining in detail the correct way to measure iron.
