  1. Getting ready to move from a set of 714 CB's to AP2's for a little more forgiveness. Anybody have an idea of what the main difference(s) between the 714 AP2's and the 716 AP2's is?

the head design is slightly different in the 716 with slightly different tungsten weighting. I checked the website and didn't see anything specific mentioned, but the the usual improvements are sole design and top line look. Personally i would take the 716 as its newer technology. Are you buying new or used?
  3. I think the main difference was that in the clubs with tungsten weighting (7 iron down) they added 50% more tungsten weighting, leading to lower center of gravity. I have both the 714 and 716 ap2; my impression is that the feel is slightly better in the 714, but the performance better in the 716 in the lower lofted clubs.

716's feel so much better to me than the 714's. The added tungsten weighting really helps with feel & higher ball flight ... a real piercing ball flight that I love.

I'd recommend AP2s, the tungsten insert provides so much forgiveness. I moved from CB's last year and my iron play has improved so much. I'm consistent and the yardages as so conisitent each time I play.

716 AP2 are supposed to be more forgiving. They look awesome as well. Have you hit both yet?
