    Hi Team Titleist!

    This week, our Tour Reps and R&D teams are on site at the PGA Tour's John Deere Classic to begin the performance validation process for prototype Titleist 818 hybrids. And across the pond, our European Tour staff are working alongside many of the world's best players at the Scottish Open to take this same vital step in our launch process.

    Enjoy some of our favorite moments from one of the most crucial checkpoints on the path to launch in the photo gallery below. We're also posting from our social media channels (@Titleist on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram), as are our counterparts from the Titleist UK and Ireland accounts (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram).

    Best,

    Abby

    Appears to have a similar weighting systems as the 917s and the color has changed to a black finish. Love the new white head covers. Anxiously waiting on the opportunity to give them a try!! See that they will be coming in a 17*. ;=)Anything lower in the new model? Will we be able to get the Fujikura Speeder Tour 8.8 shaft with these heads? cz

    Sounds great to me Abby. I finally put a set of AP1s in my bag this spring. I would love to add an 818 hybrid or two to my bag as well. I'm glad I waited.
    Play Well,

    Nice pics, thanks Abby. Quick question though...in the pics the crowns look to be either very dark grey or black, are they dark grey/black or will they be silver again?

    Looks like the slot is filled like on the 917s. That will change the sound and keep me from being distracted cleaning grass from the slot during a round. All other improvements for distance and control are just more icing on the cake.

    Abby: Thanks for sharing updated information on the 818 Hybrids. They certainly look great. Any word when the new hybrids as with the new iron line will be available for fitting and purchase? Thanks;
