  1. Does anyone know of a way of purchasing partial iron sets, new? I have seen an explored the options regarding pre-ordering the 718's, but was wondering if there's any way to still purchase 716's as a partial set? I only need 6-9, but everywhere I look I only find 3-PW or similar.

I know about the fitting process but I got my current irons fitted to me (695 CB's) and they went overnight from tricky to perfect. Just curious what the options are in updating.

Most sellers offer the ability to customize iron sets. An example is tgw.com, just click on the customize tab, and, you can select which iron(s) you wish to purchase. Your local pro shop should, also, be able to assist you in making a custom order.

Try going to your club or an authorized Titleist retailer in your area and see if they can help you.

    Hi Scott,

I just asked my Titleist fitter about purchasing 716 irons too ... and she informed me that it is possible, but to get a move on it as Titleist is wanting to support the 718 Product Launch and the inventory of 716 cannot be guaranteed.

So, going through the fitter, you should still be able to order the 716 Irons that you are after. It is my understanding that it is only the "box stores" that sell the irons as a complete set whereas the fitters can order them by the club.

True. As long as Titleist has a supply of 716 heads, you can custom order as few or as many as you want. Any place with inventory will encourage buying "the set". I won't get fit at any place with on the rack clubs. They tend to discourage custom ordering. Do note the 716 supplies for orders will be dwindling - a limited time offer.
  6. I bought 6 iron - 48 deg wedge (7 clubs) in the 718 AP1 after attending a Titleist Thursday at Cantigny Golf Course in Wheaton, IL. You could call them or another dealer.

    I recently ordered a custom set of 716 AP2 irons (5, 7, 9) as part of a minimalist kit.

    Hi Scott,
You can order any amount or iron set composition that you desire. If you only want one iron, you can order a single iron, or two or three, etc. Retailers usually ask that you come into the store so that someone can work with you to make sure the set is ordered as requested. This also gives you the opportunity to change shaft, grip, length, loft or lie on the clubs rather than to do that after the fact.
There is no upcharge for length, loft, lie adjustments and some grips.
