Quick question: Does the steel gray finish SM6 rust like the black?

It is not designed to rust like the Jet Black. It can rust as you hit more balls and nick/ding the club/face. It's happened to me and I wipe my clubs off after each shot.

    Thanks Darron!
  4. My 52 degree SM6 Raw is showing discoloration on the toe area of the club face. The 56 degree wedge has zero discoloration. Owned both for 2 months and have hit them plenty. Not sure why the 52 degree shows more wear than the 56 degree. Best of luck.

Glad to here Darron corroborate what I thought! I'm glad because I just ordered 3 new SM6 wedges ... my 50 and 56 in steel grey and my 60 degree in tour chrome! I am so tired of accidentally grabbing my 50 degree when I mean to play my 60 degree wedge and vice versa! :-). Hence, my plan to switch the colours up a bit!

Samuel, thanks for the feedback! I cannot tell you how many times that has happened to me in the past year or so. I have gotten myself focused on my shot (where I need one of the wedges) and I am so "fixed" in my state that I inadvertently grab the wrong wedge! I get so fixated on the shot that I am about to play because it is usually an opportunity to score well and I am focused on that. I put the swing on the ball that I want, and then as it approaches the pin it comes up short or it goes long! I t end to feel dumbfounded until I look at the bottom of the wedge only to discover that I grabbed my 50 instead of my 60 and vice versa! :-)

So, from the school of hard knocks, I decided to change up the colours! Hahaha ... as I get older, I find myself turning into my father! :-)

HAHA. Dino, I learn all my lessons the hard way too! Hard knocks build character. I am considering taking your advice on this, as I will be getting 3 SM6's soon.
  10. Great idea, looks like I'll be changing my order
