I recently purchased a 910D3 with 9.5 of loft. I am 6'3'' and swing speed is 118 average to 125 tops. I am currently using the made for Titleist 'ahina 72 X but will be getting an Aldila RIP 70X (77g)... I have 909f2's with Aldila NVs 85g X and I hit them very straight and very long. The 910 I have been hitting pretty good as well, but my launch has been fairly low. I know its me not the club, because my launch angle with the 9.5 was at one point averaging at around 6.5*. I was playing the ball too far back and teeing it too low but now I am hitting it in the 10-11* range. I was listening to a pga pro getting 1900RPMs in backspin and 290yds carry... I don't think I have ever gotten under 2500 RPMs.. Unless I change the loft lower on the clubface but then I won't be able to generate a higher launch angle to maximize distance. My favorite setting on it so far has been B-2. I clocked one 345yds straight down the middle with it.Can anyone give some insight on the Aldila RIP and how it will compare to the Aldila NV that I love ? I wanted to order a NV for my 910 because of how amazing it has been for me and remembering how the old 905R's and older titleist clubs had the NVs and I loved those as well. I hit my 909 f2 15.5 anywhere from 265-280 and my 909 f2 18.5 235-250
I brought the Diamana to the range today to work on it. It was a lot different when I started teeing the ball higher and dropping my right shoulder. I like to tee it lower but when I tee it higher and drop my shoulder the ball height still looks fine to me. Now my ball flight was fairly high and pretty long. It had little backspin and would drop at the end. This little image below would be a side view of how it looked. Penetrating and then falls. No real roll out. Still long though. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. \.. ..
