    Dear,

I am interested by lighter shafts for AP1 such as : NS PRO 105T, NS PRO 970, NS PRO 950 GH, NS PRO 850 GH.

But I am used to play with irons that have a D2 swingweight and would like to keep it if possible.

I understood that if I am choosing a lighter shaft like the NS PRO, the swingweight will change with the new weight of the shaft accordingly. Let say to C9 for NS PRO 850, D0 for 950, D1 for 105T.

On the other hand, I am seeing on Titleist web site in Asia that the NS PRO 950 GH is the stock shaft for AP1 and AP2 with a D2 swingweight : http://www.titleist.co.th/golf-clubs/irons/AP1.aspx

    - How is it possible?

    - Is it possible to order it by mentionning the swingweight that I want (D2)?

    Thank you,

The weights of the heads are the same all over the world.  In Asia, they do use slightly lighter grips which will add swingweight.  If you would like to order the NS pro 950 in AP2 heads, you can request a D1 swingweight and at standard length and grip, we should be able to build your set at that swingweight.

    Cathi,

I just ordered a combo 712 set (3-5 CB, 6-P MB) with NS Pro 850 in the 3&4 and NS Pro 950 in the 5-P.   I requested 1/4" short (I'm short!) and D2 swing weight.  If you can't get that swing weight, will the custom department just reject the order?

    Thanks!

    Casey

    Cathi,

OK. Thank you for your answer.

Do I need to put it as a comment in my order as to make the best effort to be as close as possible of D2 or just put D1?

FYI, I specified D2 on my order and Cathi told me mine went out as D1.  I had also spec'd 1/4" shorter than standard length on mine and they were still able to hit D1.  I had the NS Pro 950 in the 5-P and the NS Pro 850 in the 3&4.  Based on this, I would think they could get to D2 without a problem in the setup you want.

Can you tell me the exact specs, head, shaft, length, grip?  Also, FYI...the NS pro 950 builds lighter than the NS pro 850 even though it weighs more because the balance point of the shaft is higher on the shaft.

    Cathi,

Yes the specs are AP1 head, shaft NS PRO 950 GH, length standard, grip size standard, and standard Titleist Tour Velvet Rubber .

So Do I need to write as a comment: D1 or as close as possible of D2? I will order it from the UK.

Is it because it is well balanced with the NS PRO 950 that Titleist put it as a stock shaft for Asia?

    Sincerely,

    Cathi,

I ordered them from the University Club in Baton Rouge, LA.

I would be willing to sacrifice the 1/4" of length more than the swing weight.

I thought the Golf Pride NDMC grips might help since they're about 5 grams lighter than the Tour Velvets that are normally used.

    Hi Casey,

You had mentioned AP1's or AP2's with NS pro 950.  We can't get to a D2 swingweight with the lighter shafts and a shorter length.  We may be able to get to a D0.  Where did you order your clubs?
