what is the swing weight of a 913 d3 9.5* driver with the stiff flex diamana 72 + shaft at 45 in length. mine came with the red dot weight .
D4 maybe. I have the same shaft in 910 D2 and it comes in at D4.
The red dot indicates a 9g bezel weight. There are 5 bezel weight options to help adjust swing weight (4g-white, 7g-green, 9g-red, 11g-blue, 14g-black).
Both my new 913 D2, 9.5 and my 17F have red dots with std lenght shafts. By shortening them both by 1/2 inch will reduce swing weight. What new weight will need to be added to resotre original swing weight? Please indicate color amd weight.

Both of those metal woods will need the 14g bezel weight (black dot).
Does the shaft brand make a difference? I have the 913D2 with the Bassara 50 Hi regular flex, with the red dot weight. I want to have it cut down one inch. Would the black dot weight be the right one for me to install to keep a similar swing weight?
The black dot (14g) bezel weight won't get it back to a standard swing weight, but will be your closest option.

Can you explain 913d, F & hb face angle (open, neutral, or closed) in the A-1 setting and what happens to it as you move left and right on the fitting chart?? I am interested in decreasing lie angle and wanted to understand what happens to face angle.
In A-1, for all Titleist metal woods, the face angle is .5* open. When you adjust the lie angle upright or flat (move left or right on the Surefit Performance Guide) the face angle does not change. We have found from our testing that when you adjust the lie angle, you will begin to see a change in curvature of the ball flight. For example, setting the driver in a flat setting will promote more of a fade. The only time that you effectively change the face angle is when you add or decrease loft.

Driver No. 1 is a stock Titleist 910 D2 (10.5) with a 72 gram shaft.
Driver No. 2 is a stock Titleist 910 D2 (10.5) with a 62 gram shaft.
Assume that the weights of all components of both clubs are perfectly at target specs.
If you put the head from Driver No. 2 on the 72 gram shaft, what would the swing weight of that club be? How much would you have to butt trim the shaft in order to bring it down to the standard OEM swing weight?

Both drivers should come standard with a 7g bezel weight in the head. The driver with the 72g shaft will swing weight out at D4 and the driver with the 62g shaft will swing weight out to D3. I wouldn't necessarily recommend changing the length of the shaft to reduce the swing weight, since it is only one point and the length difference could have a negative impact on your consistency. If length was something that you really wanted to change, then taking just under a 1/4" an inch off the shaft would bring you back to a the D3 swing wight.
Going to the B1 setting (Flat) worked great in my FW & HB. When i went to B1 in my driver i saw the fade but liked the added distnce and the way the club addressed the ball. If i go to the C4 (flat with more loft) will that close the face (and how much) and counteract the fade? I didn't think of it at the range and when thinking of your response later iwanted to ask ??
