I recently demo'd the 913 D2 10.5 R Driver.  My swing speed is 100, ball speed 140 with launch angles of 12-14 degrees.  The spin rate with the stock shaft Bassara W50 was 3600-4000.  We tried  the Diamana S+ Blue 62 which brought the spin rate down to 3100 but my swing speed  dropped to 94-95 and carry distance dropped by about 7 yds.  I love how the driver looks, sounds and feels .  I was wondering if anyone has any other shaft or set-up suggestions to try... I don't want to give up on this driver as of yet.

i'm not an expert but the numbers seems pretty similar to my swing numbers.  I bought 913 D2 9.5 stiff Diamana D+ White 72 standard set up and it's been amazing. i've been hitting low to mid launch with tons of rolls which i assume bc of low spin rate.  I tried both Aldilas and both Diamanas and went with the above.

personally i like the heavier lower torque shaft since i feel like it gives me more stability and consistency.

I have been hunting for a new driver for months. I have been to 7 different stores and two professional fittings. In the beginning my spin rate was about 6000rpm, my swing speed is 104 and i was averaging 250. I would constantly hit down on the ball rather than sweeping it off the tee. So after about a month of lessons i went to get fit again and my spin was down to around 3100rpm with the 913d2. The fitter recommended I try the 913d3 for a lower spin rate. It worked like a charm and my spin was down to 2500rpm. I went through all the shaft options and I found the most distance and consistency with the Aldila RIP 2.9 torque 60g stiff shaft. I could not be happier with my purchase and i am well past 280yrds now. Hopes this helps.

I have similar numbers (12-14 launch angle, swing speed 105, ball speed 142 @ 2200-2400).  I played this morning with the 913 D2 with the Bassara w50 stiff shaft and it was great. It's straight (14 fairways) with no loss of distance from my current driver which has a 48" shaft. In addition, it's very controllable and workable for fades and draws. I plan to order one at 9.5 and a 46" shaft.

    Dino,

Try the 913 D2 9.5 next time.  Loft and CG have the biggest influence on spin.

Shafts do play a part, however changing loft will have a bigger influence.  If you liked the feel and speed you had with the Bassara, the 9.5 head will help drop the excessive spin.

    Hope this helps!

I went from the stock Ahina stiff in a 9.5 D2 910 to the Whiteboard 62, to go as far as possible, in the 913 D2. Dropped the loft to 8.5 and picked up 12 yards of carry and 9 of roll. 21 yards is worth paying for. Thanks Roger Hatcher at Golf  Tour Trailer.

You should try the Aldila Rip 60 stiff.  With that club head speed you definitely need a stiff.  This should bring your spin down from the bassara but it is light enough so that you won't lose much club head speed.

I would definitely agree.  When I got fit my club head speed was 97mph and I was told that I should definitely be in a stiff flex.  I personally have the RIP 60 on my 913.
