  1. I will be in the Pheonix area April 8th to the 15th on a week long golf vacation.  I'm looking to get fit for a Titleist driver.  I've hit both the 913 D3 and D2, but with one shaft option that was not suited for my swing.  Regardless, the feel and looks of the 913 driver heads are my definite choice.  With that being said, I'd like to be able to try out the factory Titleist shaft options that are available for these drivers this year.  Maybe even some others if available and have them analyzed and fit for my swing.

Here's the kicker, I'm looking for a short turnaround time on a driver after the fitting.  (Same or next day would be GREAT!)  Is there a Titleist facility or shop in the area that stock different shaft options for purchase along with modify shaft length and appropriate swing weights, or do I have some really wishful thinking here?  The general consensus that I've seen is about a 5 to 7 day turnaround on custom clubs.  Which if I wasn't on a golf vacation looking to get the most out of it, I'd be completely fine with that.

I'll get fit either way, but I'd very much like to play a new, fitted 913 D3 or D2 while I'm there.  Any ideas and/or recommendations?

  2. If they have to custom order your club you're not going to get it in time. It's worth the wait. Is there anyway you can get fitted now? Most Titleist reps have an assortment of stock shafts. If you can visit an Advanced/Regional fitter. They'll have many shafts/heads to choose from.

There's a few Advanced fitters around Phoenix. If you get fitted when you get there, and they offer more shipping options, like next day, etc., you MIGHT get it before the end of your trip. You'd have to talk to your fitter.

    Best of luck to you.

  3. Thanks for the reply David.  I live in Minot, North Dakota and as far as I know, the nearest fitter might be in Minneapolis, MN or maybe a long shot in Fargo, ND.

I will however plan to be fitted in AZ when I get there if I don't find anything around here until then.  I do agree the wait will be worth it, even if I don't get to put a new driver into play during my trip.  A fitted driver after my golf trip will be better than no fitted driver at all.

If you know of any fitters I could utilize up in my area, I could see about being fitted before I venture down to Pheonix.

    Thanks!!
