    Hi

I have ordered a set of AP2 714 with Nippon 850GH Stiff shafts

2deg up and swing weight 5Iron to 9Iron of D2 and PW of D3

Shop has come back to me saying Titleist have said that the target swing weight for

    that setup is C9 - D0

Can you not make to the swing weight I desire

I was fitted for this setup in AP2 710 a few years back and just want the same setup

Hi Kevin,  The maximum swingweight for that set up with a standard grip at standard length is possibly D1. We do not have headweights to accommodate D2 or D3swingweight in the 714 AP2 irons with a standard grip.  If you were to change the grip to a New Decade grip, they could get to a D2.

    Thanks Cathi

Are the AP2 714 very different to the original AP2's so that the same shaft / grip setup in each set would give a very different swing weight

Do you think I could tell the difference between D0 and D2 ?

    thanks

    Kevin

It is 2 grams of weight per swingweight in a head so the difference between D0 and D2 would be approximately 4 grams or less than the weight of a nickel (which is 5 grams).  Some players are sensitive to swingweight and others cannot tell the difference.  But the good news is that if you order a set with D1, odds are very good that you will not be able to tell the difference in one swingweight.
