So I happen to be by the great headquarters of GolfSmith today in Austin and had some time to kill. I stepped up to their fitting cart and hit a few drives. Started off wit the D3 and it not jump of the clubface like I was looking for. We played around with the fitting tuning, a bit more open and such, but this did not help. I consistently have a natural draw and after switching form the D3 to the D2, I found what I was looking for.
So, with that said and the Texas heat, I had to retreat inside. The D2 had the mitsubishi rayon diamana in an S shaft, but it too was a bit lower, even for a 10.5 that I was looking for. My swing speed is about 105 average, and I currently play a 905D with a Graphite Design YS 6+ shaft, that too is a bit low for my liking. What shaft would be something with a kickpoint that would get the ball launched higher than the mitsubishi and GD that I use curretnly?
Jordan,
Which Diamana shaft were you hitting? The highest launching Diamana shaft, that Titleist offers as a stock option, would be the Ilima 61. We do offer the Fubuki Alpha 60 that should promote a slightly higher launch with similar weight and torque, but does carry an up-charge.
Hope this helps,
Cameron

The Kal'li 65 is what I was hitting. After a bit of swing changes on the range this week, I have the YS+6 flying exactly as I like it in my 905, so am going to look for the D2 with the YS+6 shaft as well. Also maybe going from a 10.5 down to a 9.5 drive to get a bit more roll out of this.
Thanks for they help.
