Hey guys, I've never posted to team titleist but had a few questions about trying to get fitted for a new titleist driver in central Ohio.

I live a little south of Columbus and have been to Golfsmith and Golf Galaxy and I havn't been happy with the time and attention to detail they have given me. (seemed rushed and bothered I was asking for help)

I am interested in the D2 and possibly D3 but am having trouble finding the right shaft for my swing. Any ideas of a Titleist Club fitter who is willing to pay attention to detail and help find the right shaft for me in the Central Ohio area would be appreciated

Thanks!

Hi Caleb, Welcome to Team Titleist. Scioto CC would be our closest recommended Advanced FittingWorks center to go to be fit for a driver. Talk to Bill Stines, or Don Sargent over there. The number is: (614) 486.1039. They do most of their outside fitting during Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons and they have a very good selection of shafts.

Re: Driver Fitting

Caleb:

I know that it would be a drive but if you can get to The Golf Exchange in Cincinnati (actually Kenwood) I think it would be well worth your time. They use Trackman, which is state of the art. I just had a driver fitting. $50 for 45 minutes, but if it takes longer that's fine. And if you buy any club from them in the next 30 days, the $50 is credited toward the price of the club. Steve, the store manager, was outstanding. He took the time to ask questions and I hit a lot of balls.

I used to use a 909 D2, 10.5 degree with the Diamana Blue Board. So, I was thinking a 910. I am very comfortable with the 900 series look and feel. Using Trackman, we used the D2 and the D3 in 3 different lofts with about 6 or 7 different shafts.

Anyway, as I said earlier. Steve was great. I ended up with a 910 D3, 9.5 degree. Two shafts worked for me, either the Diamana Ahina 72 or the Oban Devotion 6, both in a stiff shaft.

It was well worth it.

If you can't get down here, I highly recommend you find a fitter that uses Trackman. It is what almost every pro golfer uses.
