Hi, I'm looking for completing my set on the long end. Currently I play a 910D2 9.5 at setting D1 so basically it plays as 8.75 degrees. I play it with Aldila RIP 60grams R flex and love the set up. In my irons I just switched to Cally x-forged with Nippon 950 shafts in stiff flex. My current set up for woods and hybrids do no longer fit properly in between this. So I'm looking for replacement. Very happy with the titleist products and looking for wood and hybrids to complete the set.
What I really like in a shaft, lightweight and solid feeling. My swing-speed on irons went up significantly (from 76 with old 6 iron to 85 with Nippon 950 in stiff) from moving to lower weight shafts. Although lightweight, the shafts in driver and iron still feel very solid and the same goes for my driver. I do not know my driver SS.
Driver: 250-260 yards
4 iron: 175-180 yards
5 iron: 165 yards
and going down to PW in steps of approx 12 yards.
I have a tendency to hit high shots. With my driver at 8.75 deg I can still hit it quite high but ball flight still is good to me.
Now I'm looking for wood and hybrids. My first thought was to go with a 3wood and approx 19" hybrid. Also I'm contemplating to replace my 4-iron with a hybrid (24"). Any suggestions on set up and even more important what kind of shaft would be recommended? I'm looking to go with stock shafts where possible as I have to watch budget a bit as well :)
Thanks for any help / suggestions
