Distance diff is 5-10 yards tops. I hit my 50-08 (which is bent to 49) about 95 yards and my PW 110-115 so my guesstimate with the 46 would be slightly over 100 yards. I also remember that my Eye 2 W (48.5) got 105 yards and a 48-06 (bent to 49) just barely got below 100 yards.

I use my AP1 primarily for distances between 60-110 yards (60 being a choked pitch, 80 being a full pitch, 90 a choked full swing and 110 a full golf swing). It is pretty much a go-to club. Been cogitating about trying out the 46 but the AP1 works so well.

There won't be to much of a distance difference. The 712 AP2 PW will be more forgiving, but some players prefer the look and feel of a Vokey. A lot of this decision is player preference.

The shafts won't have too much of an effect in total distance.
