Just purchased brand new irons in August around my birthday. See if he can hit the ap2's or 712cb's. Great clubs, a little expensive but if it's not worth it i would recommend hitting the taylormade cb's or mb's. But if you are looking for kind of cheap and great for that age try the 2.0's or CG16's.
