I've played them about 8 - 10 rounds, but find the overall weight of the club to be a little on the heavy side. I've played the TTDGSL S300 for the past several years in other irons sets prior

Re: Reshafting my 712 AP1's with a lighter shaft

Well I finished checking the swingweights yesterday and they were all right around D3 so considering I added 3/4" that is not too bad. I could go to a heavier grip but I am going to play with them as is for now. Don't think I can tell the difference between D2 and D3 anyway.

Re: Reshafting my 712 AP1's with a lighter shaft

I am reshafting back SL's from DG's and found the tip weights. I didn't think they would even use them in a mass production club. Because I am lengthening the shaft which will increase the swingweight I tried assembling without the weights. I dry fitted one of the clubs together and slapped on a cut grip and then checked the swingweight. It was right on at D2. I am going to go through the same process with the rest of the set today and then hopefully finish putting them together. I wonder how many others have found this same thing.
