Agree with rest - important for proper posture and balance when doing a lie board check. The fitter should have been able to point out swing faults during the session (most of them that I know of are pretty close to scratch golfers).

Playing with clubs that are too flat and compensating can also cause a low screaming hook.

With the clubs being too upright with a normal stance, the toe of the club points up too much.

Also a good idea is to take a known straight hitting club and hit it and the club being fitted off the lie board. I found out that one of my old irons hit 1 tick mark toward the toe. Had I centered the scuff mark I would have been hitting a 66 degree lie angle 9 iron.

Put Lie back to standard, stay more to the inside, u should get a better flight in direction. Lie becomes more important if u make a CORRECT move to the ball, and do not get the desired results. Most players try to adjust lie for a poor move to the ball. Good luck......

Re: Lie adjustment

The written Warranty period is 1 year, but we always make an attempt to help TT members for as long as we have parts.

Re: Lie adjustment

Hi Cathi

Thanks for reaching out. Apparently you have access to a register that includes my clubs. I only hold a quality certificate which does not mention the warranty period. Would you know until when or for how long it typically runs? By the way, before having them adjusted, I will have my swing checked at the Titleist fitting center where I bought them, and ask if they can take care of the refitting, as you recommend.

Re: Lie adjustment
I have a set of AP2 710s and when fitted they were adjusted 2 degrees upright. Since playing with them I have adjusted my swing for it to become much more a flat plane swing and therefore the ball tends to be more drawn to the left. Would it be possible to do a second adjustment? Bend the clubs to go from 2 degrees upright to 2 or 3 degrees flat?
You can have them adjusted - we would recommend checking to make sure you have changed your swing by 4° and then having your fitter set up the bending here at Titleist since your 710's are still under Warranty.

Re: Lie adjustment

Hey Jasper.

2 Possibilities.

Your ball could be drawing left is because of the flatter plane, not necessarily lie angle. I've heard from many clubfitters that to bend 4-5 degrees they run the risk of snapping the head, and most won't risk being held responsible for trying to bend the club that much. I would suggest you reach out to your Certified Titleist Fitter and get your lie angles checked.

Second, I would also recommend looking at your swing on film from a Certfied Teaching professional. What you perceive as flat could be right on plane or possibly too flat. Before you go and get refit I would see where your swing is at, as you don't want to adjust your clubs, then swing, then clubs again.

Regards.
Jerret
