At $5 per club (sometimes they do it free) it is well worth it. Especially with used clubs (the previous owner may have been flat or upright).

I have a set of AP1s 6-PW that initially cost me $200 total. Because I play my 6 iron at 37" and my 9/PW at 35.5" I had them shortened, the lie angles adjusted +.5* upright and had Excel RF grips installed. I also spent $20 to have lofts adjusted (28-32-36-41-46; I leave the 6 iron out for now but it is an alternative to the 27H). Total expenditure $300. I already knew what shafts have been working on irons.

I've bought my wedges new and I have the GW and SW set to .5* upright and my lob wedges 1* upright so the shaft lengths fall in line with the rest of the irons. I discovered 4 years ago the reason I had trouble with full swings on lob and sand wedges was because the standard lie angle (64*) is too flat.

Clayton,

This would be a great idea. A certified Club Fitter will be able to identify any lie angle or shaft adjustments that may need to be made or at least considered. This could also help you with future iron orders.
