  1. What's the stiffest shaft one can get in the 913D3 when buying new? I have a very high swing speed and hit the ball far but cant afford to fork out R3000($350) for a premium custom shaft, then putting it on an old clubhead.

Asking the reps here at a local store they have gauranteed me that I can have ANY shaft fitted into the driver buying it new for R4200, thats WITHOUT any pay in price for the shaft.

Is this true? And what would be the stiffest/lowest launching/lowest spinning shaft in your aresenal at no up-charge on a new driver?

Obviously I have done some homework but would like your take on the above.

You should be able to be fitted to the correct shaft and priced at that time.  Everyone's opinion of the correct shaft will be different.

The stiffest shaft does not always equate to the best for you.

The Problem I have with this is they dont have anything on offer while getting fitted to determine if I would like it. The stiffest shaft they had for Irons where s300's and PX6.5....... I was pulling this way left and to high. The one guy at a golf shop mentioned some wara wara shaft of 90grams to be more then good enough, I just sighd and walked on.

I am not looking for an general what do you think is best. I am looking for the answer what is the stiffest possible. and NO-ONE seems to know that. So now hopefully some Titleist staff can help me...

The Diamana line of shafts usually work really well for higher swing speeds as well as the Tour AD DX.  This is just from my experience with them.  I play the Diamana Blueboard but only Stiff flex as my ss is only 110-115.  It works well for me in my D3.  I think any of them can be purchased in xs, xxs and maybe 3x.  I hope this helps.

There would be an upcharge on most shafts other than the 5 standard shafts.  I would double check with your pro shop on that pricing.
Two of the lower launching, stiffer tipped standard pricing shafts would be the +D82 X flex tipped and the RIP 80 X flex tipped.  You can have either shaft tipped up to 1.5" , but we would recommend talking to your local pro who has observed your swing to help make that tipping decision.

THanks Cathi, Appreciate the feedback. Describing the situation with the "any shaft" at my local pro shop I believe they dont understand the tipping process either, and their shop is the major shop in our city. I am no expert but have read on the tipping a few times. I'll keep this information as this wont help my cause too much then to buy a 913D3 with the non-aftermarket shaft in them. Thanks for the feedback again.

I have a high swing speed and ball speed (165+) and I have the MITSUBISHI RAYON DIAMANA AHINA 72 X-Stiff, 9.5 deg in my 910D2 and it rocks.   I did get fitted, spend the fitting $$
