Would this be the best shaft

Re: A great question for the titleist staff

I don't carry a hybrid, and I wanted to make sure that I could deck it. Plus, the 15* is a better fit between my 225 yard 3 iron and my 280+ drive. I don't hit the fairway off the tee much, unless it is a really tight spot.

This is mostly speculation though. I haven't tried a 13.5*. I do know that the 15* gives me the yardage that I am looking for.

Re: A great question for the titleist staff

Thanks for the useful advice and information! Is there a reason why you picked the 15* over the 13.5*?

Re: A great question for the titleist staff

My guess is that the 82g D+ stiff would serve you better than the 72g D+ X. The 82g shaft has a lower launch angle, and if you are happy with what you saw, you should be good to go. The 72g will launch higher, and a X flex shaft will lower it a bit, sacrificing a little distance for better accuracy.

I just got a 15* with a 82g D+ Stiff. My swing speed was 106 and I had an average carry of 240 with a 260 total. This was a little shorter than I was used to, but it was wicked accurate, and it felt very good. I just got the club, so I haven't put it in play yet. I did go with the X flex on my D2 driver though. I figured that I could benefit from the tightened dispersion, but, like you, my local shop didn't have an X flex to try out.

Sorry if a non-staff answer is unwelcome.
