I've been using the same clubs as when I first started golf and I'm looking to upgrade my equipment soon.
I was thinking about getting a reservation to get fit for a Titleist iron set and maybe some wedges at the Haggin Oaks Golf Expo coming up at the end of April 2013. It costs $25 to get fit but it is refunded if you end up buying something. It seems like a good deal but I'm wondering if it's better to just get fit on another day. Is there any particular advantage getting fit at this expo?
I understand this is a huge expo so I don't want someone who is going to rush through my fitting so they can get to the next person. Also, I know it is a PGA Tour Van Fitting so will the person fitting me be a rep from Titleist who will really know a lot about the brand or will they be unaffiliated with any particular brand? Is this superior to the fitting they'd normally do at a course? Haggin Oaks has a Titleist fitter on staff anyway so does it make a difference to do it in the PGA Tour Van? Finally, I know a lot of other brands tend to have special deals if you buy during demo-days and expos. Does Titleist do that as well or is it the same price as always?
Any insight into these questions would be appreciated.
