Off the shelf vs custom ordered clubs

    I've noticed that all the 913 woods I just ordered (via custom order through my fitter) have Roman numerals in the serial numbers on the heads. When I was at Edwin Watts recently, I noticed that all the 913 heads have longer serial numbers with no Roman numerals. Is this just coincidence? Or is there any difference between the heads of custom ordered clubs vs clubs off the shelf? I.e., is the head of my 913f better in any way than an off ther shelf 913f head?

    There shouldn't be any roman numerals.  You may have received a custom serial # on your 913 metal wood that had a series of letters looking like roman numerals (ie 5XIIV).  We only use numbers and letters on our clubs.

    This is a very unique situation. I do think it's the fact of having a custom ordered club. It would be unique to have some type of your serial number on it.
