I want to get fitted for a 913. I had my current Driver cut down 1in and seen great results from this. My buddy cut his shaft 2" on his driver and when I use it, I can crush it further than my own. I also ready a lot about how pros also use shorter length shafts on their drivers.
My question is, if I go to a Advanced fitting center, will I be able to try different shaft lengths with my 913 driver? I would really like to see how it feels with the shorter length shafts and not just the standard 45".
Hi Steven, Advanced FittingWorks centers will have several shafts available in 44.5" lengths. The FittingWorks Van, Regionals and our Tour facilities will have the greatest variety of shorter length driver shafts.
The majority of our Touring pros (about 70%) use a 45" length driver and of the pros that use a shorter length, most are 1/2" shorter at 44.5".
Thank you Cathi.
One more question. What about when courses have "Titleist Fitting Days." Do they have the shorter shaft options on those days?
The fitting tech rep will have the same matrix of shafts and heads as an Advanced Fitter. He/she should have all the heads that we offer and several shafts in a 44.5" length as well as the standard length shafts
