Last spring,   I picked up a demo 910FD at the Portland golf show and not knowing the exact shaft to  use, i had a  Bassara 55 reg shaft on. It seems the FD club  is primarily for faster swing "younger"  golfers, iI am over 50  but I really like the look of it versus the F version.

i am looking to get the 913 FD 3 wood  with a  different shaft since the Bassara is a bit  easy to hook .  i have   a 90-  92 MPH swing speed. avg around 240 on my drives  and a 9 handicap. My ball flight tends to be medium but with the FD the ball stays low.  Any suggestions truly appreciated. When I go to different golf stores the advise is frankly confusing.

    Thanks  SG

    Steve,

That shaft should help promote a higher ball flight for you.  It does play slightly softer to flex, so you may want to just consider moving o a stiff flex from regular.  Before doing so, I would consider trying it out first, to see what consistency you have with it.  Use the link below to find the nearest Club Fitter and Titleist retailer near you.

    Cameron ,

Appreciate the suggestions. The 72 Gram Regular Diamana in regular, would that also be a candidate? . Other than the weight difference 55gm vs 72 gm are there significant differences in the flex point or  stability of the club for a low 90's swing speed. golfer

    Thank you.

    Steve,

Depends on which Diamana you are referring to since both the D+ White and S+ Blue are offered in that 72 weight category.  Both Diamana shafts will have a different kick point then the Basarra, launching the ball lower with less spin.  The S+ is more of a mid/high launch and the D+ is low/mid launching.  The S+ Blue will be the closer option to the Basarra and may work well for you in regular or stiff.  This is certainly a shaft that you would want to hit first to understand the feel and ball flight differences.
